Janet
Curry has been developing innovative and effective
marketing and public relations strategies for her
clients for more than 17 years. Working with corporations,
government agencies and not-for-profit organizations,
Curry has developed effective strategic communications
programs that have produced results for her clients.
Curry, a graduate of the University of California,
Davis, received her degree in civil engineering. During
her college years, she enrolled in communications
courses unaware that she would one day become a communications
specialist. Curry worked as an engineer for
more than seven years before pursuing marketing and
sales. Upon leaving engineering, she attended post
graduate courses in marketing and business at University
of California, Los Angeles and University of Southern
California. Utilizing her technical and communication
skills, training and experience as an engineer and
marketer, Curry Ellis developed and coordinated effective
national and international publicity, promotions and
advertising campaigns.
Curry is a graduate of the University of Southern
California's Business Expansion Network. She is a
member of the Public Relations Society of America,
American Association of University Women, American
Marketing Association, Black Journalists Association
of Southern California (affiliate of National Association
of Black Journalists), Friends of CORO of Southern
California Chapter, NAACP, National Coalition of 100
Black Women, National Urban League, National Association
of Women Business Owners, Public Communicators of
Los Angeles, Southern National Association of Female
Executives and Women of Color.
